A More Realistic View At Arsenal’s Potential Transfers

The last article mentioned targets that would provide a huge impact on the first team with the likes of Ousmane Dembele and Umtiti. These targets are the ones that Arsenal seems the closest to completing and  they've been heavily linked throughout the transfer window

Markus Schubert: To me, little is known about this guy other than he is U-21 German goalie who started at Dynamo Dresden in the 2nd tier of the Bundesliga. He is reported by Independent to be the long term challenge to Bernd Leno. He set to leave on loan to the Championship once he arrives, leaving Emiliano Martinez to be back up next season. A number of Championship teams are interested. Schubert could be a long-term replacement for retiring Petr Cech and Napoli bound Ospina.

Yannick Ferreira Carrasco: As reported by The Independent, the 25-year-old Belgian International is set to join Arsenal in a £26m move. He fits right into the wing position Arsenal desperately need. I believe this to be the better signing out of the choices of Ryan Fraser and Carrasco. He wants to be back in Europe to progress in his career and hopefully, Man City let Sane go to Bayern so they don't sign Carrasco.

Ryan Fraser: Fraser emerged as an early transfer target. Ryan said in a recent interview that "the likelihood is that I'll be at Bournemouth next season." If this is to be true, Emery should give more opportunity to the youth academy graduates in Nelson, who impressed at Hoffenheim, Bukayo Saka, and Xavier Amaechi.

Dennis Praet and Joachim Anderson: This Sampdoria duo is roughly priced at £50m-£60m. According to an Italian journalist, Arsenal is reportedly very interested in the center mid and center back. Dennis Praet, to me, would be an attempt to replace Aaron Ramsey at center mid, who is going to be playing for Sarri at Juve. Anderson is another towering center back coming in at 6' 3". Both would be good squad players who could break into the first team.

Hakim Ziyech: Seen as a replacement for Ozil or Mkhitaryan as a playmaker who can play through the middle or out wide. There are reports in Holland that Ziyech is open to a move to Arsenal. I think it's a great move for both parties and with how good Ziyech is, it could help propel the attack even more. Already scored against Sp*rs too.

William Saliba: An 18-year-old center back from Ligue-1 club Saint-Étienne. He stands tall at 6' 4". There have been conflicting reports on whether this move is as advanced as reported. I see this happening if Carl Jenkinson leaves. Would be a great young signing with loads of potential.

Kieran Tierney: As per the latest odds from SkyBet, Arsenal is current favorites to sign the 22-year-old left back from Scottish champions, Celtic. Tierney has been linked with a move away before, with Man U. and Liverpool the targets. I believe that Tierney is an upgrade defensively on Kolasinac amid Barcelona links, and offers a stronger option to play a four at the back.

Dayot Upamecano: A source close to Arsenal told ESPN FC that they are targeting the signing of RB Leipzig center back as reported by ESPN FC. He is seen as a cheaper alternative to Umtiti of Barcelona. Upamecano is a French U-21 international with a bright future ahead of him. He is an off and on again starter for the German club. He would challenge for a starting spot in most premier league games and could be the perfect summer signing.
